What is Phase I study?

A question often asked, and the reason you are important to us. The trials are conducted with between 18 and 80 suitable, healthy volunteers in the selected age range. They are normally structured to determine how the body deals with a new medicine and how long it stays in the system.

How much does one get paid for this work?

You will be paid for your time and inconvenience and this payment will reflect the length of the Clinical Trial.

How long can a trial last?

Clinical Trials can be many different lengths. You may be asked to stay at our Unit for 3 or 4 days with one outpatient follow up approximately one week later, or you may be asked to participate in a trial which involves 20 days in our Unit.

We sometimes have outpatient studies where no overnight stays are required.
